The Thanksgiving Races have been held in downtown Guelph for over a hundred years. There are races for everyone. Last year our participants ranged in age from 2 years old to 91 years old. The races are held on a one mile loop held around Exhibition Park , with the races being held consecutively, providing a great couple of hours of entertainment for both participants and spectators.
These races are chip timed. You will need to pick up a chip before the race, it will match your bib number. The chip will attach to your shoes with a provided plastic tie. We will remove the chip from your shoes after the finish line.
There will be 5 races, plus the "3 in 1"
1. Nicolas Lambden Memorial Mile, 11am
2. 100m for 5 years and under only, 11:15
3. 5k, open 11:30
4. 1k for kids in grades 1 to 3 only 12:10
5. 3k open, includes walkers 12:30

A T-shirt is not included. We will have t-shirts available at cost ($5). This is to keep the cost of entries down and to allow only those who want a souvenir t-shirt to have one. You will be able to try on the shirt and check out the design at race kit pickup. We will order more shirts if we run out (because we never know how many people will show up, or what size they will want) so you are guaranteed a shirt if you want one (it may be two weeks after the race.)
For Race Day entry add $5. If you can register early, please do so. Every year we have a hundred runners who register just minutes before the race. We try to accommodate everyone, but it causes great stress for the patient race timing crew, sometimes leading to errors in the results.
Are you under 5 years old, or over 70 year old? Your entry is free. (we still need you to sign a waiver at race kit pickup)
Online registration is simple and if you use our secure payment system there are no transaction fees.
Family discount. If you are registering 3 or more from the same family at the same time, we offer a discount of 10% on all of the entries, even though we have the lowest entry fees of any race. The discount will not apply on race day (just too complicated.)
To qualify for the discount, all must be entered at the same time. If you use the online registration, leave a note in the space provided and I will refund the 10% to your credit card. Otherwise, use the printed entry form and drop it off at the Running Room or at Running Works, or at 138 King St. Guelph, cheque (payable to the Guelph Victors)or cash only.
If you print the entry form , you can drop them off at Running Room Guelph or the Running Works with a cheque or cash, or mail them to The Guelph Victors, 138 King St Guelph Ontario N1E 4P9.
Olympian Taylor Milne leads out the 10k. Seven runners and only two feet on the ground!
